Introducing Rachel Wall, Director of Lighthouse Virtual Assistant…
Rachel graduated in 2000 from Staffordshire University with a degree in Radio, Film and Television and also has a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She started her working life at Pearson Television, London (now Fremantle Television) as a runner for the Disney Channel and then a Librarian (inputting show schedule data).
Rachel has since gained over 18 years experience in the PR and marketing industry as a Press Officer at Kent County Council and Communications Manager for a multi-agency (Kent Police led) Partnership. During this role, Rachel wrote the annual marketing plan and advised senior management at board level on how it should be delivered. She was also responsible for the large annual budget and a team of staff.
Rachel is highly competent at writing marketing plans, newsletters, press releases, creative briefs, organising high profile events and writing copy for articles and blogs. Her previous roles have led her to undertake radio, press and television interviews for both local and national media.
She has confidently managed budgets, invoices, email, written and phone correspondence from the public, businesses, marketing and PR industries as well as all other everyday administrative tasks.
Now, having set up her own virtual assistant business, Rachel says:
“My aim is to help businesses increase their profile, reputation and brand through on and offline marketing (social media management, press releases, blogs, articles) and support them with the tasks that take them away from focusing on their core business but that still need to be carried out.
“I have many contacts in the industry so if there is something I am unable to help you with I can call upon these to get the work completed.”
Rachel is Leader of the Folkestone and Hythe Ladies Who Latte networking group, a national organisation supporting inspirational business women, and is also the Marketing Manager for the Mitrofanoff Support UK Charity

Introducing Jennifer Roording, VA support
Jennifer joined the team in 2017. As an example of how wonderful networking can be, Rachel met Jennifer at a local Ladies Who Latte group and when she said she was looking for someone to help with the growing workload Jennifer got in touch.
Jennifer, originally from Pennsylvania, USA, moved here to the UK in 1999 and completed a degree in business administration. Over the next 15 years, she held various sales, marketing and business development positions in Kent and London based companies within the technology, publishing, newspaper and education sectors.
Jennifer is now enjoying spending time with her young family and also runs a small business of her own. Find out more about Jennifer
